We are a Kathmandu Valley-based private limited company registered under the Company Act in Nepal (reg. no. 142545) with a nationwide vision : to transform traditional learning methods and inspire the next generation of Nepali scientists and astronomers.

Message from the Director

Welcome to Kantipur Planetarium, Nepal's hub for astronomy education and space exploration.

Growing up in Nepal during early 90's before the year 2000, access to modern technology and equipment for learning about the cosmos was a distant dream. The internet was new and opportunities for hands-on astronomy education were minimal. We, as students, often felt limited in our quest to understand the wonders above.

This personal experience ignited the vision behind the Kantipur Planetarium : a belief that the pursuit of knowledge about the universe should be universal. No cultural background, community, religion or age should ever hinder anyone from exploring the cosmos.

Our mission is to bridge that gap. We are dedicated to providing accessible, state-of-the-art space exploration tools and educational programs to every wandering soul in Nepal and beyond. We want every visitor to overcome wonders and explore the universe with the technology available today.

We invite students, families and curious minds to join us in this exciting journey of discovery. Explore the night sky, learn about distant galaxies and engage with interactive science exhibits.

Come, explore your universe at Kantipur Planetarium.

Sincerely,

SK Shrestha

Director
